La.Pi.S: pearlySHELLS

don't wanna be late this time... hehehe...

this is my entry for this week's la.pi.s... my sinabawang halaan. i like this so much and here in uae specially here in our place in al ain, you seldom find shellfish at the market. the reason behind this is maybe because al ain is located in the main land... far from the sea or any body of water. and fish, shellfish, crabs or shrimps are really expensive here. luckily, k was able to find a batch of still fresh clams at the supermarket. we cooked it right away and paired it with sinugbang isda (grilled fish). but i like the soup with the malunggay leaves much better. that's another plant we rearly see here.

if you like the recipe, click here. happy la.pi.s... enjoy the week everyone.

I miss this, but the clams I get here are super sandy! I cannot tolerate the gritty feel of biting into sand particles! Too bad there is no way i can soak them in water so they spit out all their sand before I cook them.

pareho tayo, i posted halaan at malunggay na sabaw din. mahirap nga to be far from the sea, ano? pero, wala ding masyadong tinda ng malunggay? dito sa atin, halos lahat may malunggay sa likuran ng bahay. hindi bale, am sure marami ding masasarap na sangkap pangluto diyan sa al ain.
